Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Jovan Armand is a dynamic actor and recording artist whose magnetic presence has lit up both the big screen and the stage. Best known for his breakthrough performance as Pedro Peña—the shy foster kid-turned–superpowered ally—in the blockbuster DC films Shazam! and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Jovan combines depth, authenticity, and an undeniable charm that resonates with audiences of all ages.

From an early age, Jovan's natural inclination toward artistic expression led him to pursue formal acting training and immerse himself in the worlds of film and television. His versatile talent has carried him through a wide range of television appearances, including dramatic turns on Snowfall, Coyote, Hawaii Five-0, For the People, Parenthood, Shameless, and Children's Hospital. He also shone in a recurring role across 13 episodes of Nickelodeon's Bella and the Bulldogs and endeared himself to fans as Troy—Brick's loyal best friend—on ABC's beloved series The Middle.

An award-winning performer, Jovan has headlined several acclaimed short films. He earned an Imagen Award for Best Theatrical Short for his role as Gabe in Drowning (2017) and garnered festival honors for his portrayal of Chub/Diego in Chub (2014), celebrated at the Gasparilla International Film Festival, International Film Awards Berlin, and Sarasota Film Festival, with further nominations at the Miami Film Festival and Imagen Awards. He also brought depth and heart to the role of Francisco in Miracle Maker (2015).
