Entertainment is anything that can be consumed and provides a positive experience for the audience. Bates and Ferri (2010) say it’s understood objectively, involves communication between text and audience from external stimulus, off ers pleasure, requires an audience to exist and occurs in a passive form.

Something affording pleasure, diversion, or amusement: The ball was an elaborate entertainment. The daily crossword puzzle is a popular form of entertainment for many people. Entertaiment can also refer to the act of entertaining or hospitable provision for the needs and wants of guests: the hotel offers ample entertainment in its various facilities.
