What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is the stuff you do to keep yourself occupied, diverted, or amused. It encompasses everything from the clown at your child’s birthday party, to a Broadway show or stadium rock concert, to a game of ping-pong between your friends. Although entertainment is often lighthearted, many forms have serious purposes or achieve insight. This is especially true of children’s play, which is often entertainment as well as a form of learning and development. (1).
