Taking a cue from the name, entertainment is the performing arts or performing arts in general. It is a broad category including concerts, plays, sporting events and a myriad of cultural activities. A notable aficionado is the film industry. There is a plethora of awards to be won for best actor, director and production. Some of these are handed out to the lucky few in the form of trophies while others are awarded as a reward for outstanding performance or service to the industry. The industry also has its share of detractors, including those whose bêtes noires are deemed too big for their britches. The most difficult part of the job is dealing with a disgruntled crew who may or may not have a vested interest in the business.
